CEO and Chief Advantagizer: Dr. Dan Herman

Dan HermanDr. Dan Herman is a globally renowned expert in identifying growth opportunities and creating competitive advantages and even private monopolies for companies and brands. He integrates winning competitive strategies with profitable business models and psychologically powerful branding.

In addition to being a co-owner and CEO of Competitive Advantages, Dr. Herman is a shareholder and active member of the board of directors of several European consulting firms as well as of Elyakim-Herman Advertising. He is also an active board member and shareholder of Formula U, a Russian company that develops luxury shopping centers, and controls a chain of automobile dealerships and a retail chain that distributes car- related products.

Dr. Herman is often invited to be the keynote speaker at international conferences; he facilitates seminars and workshops, and is frequently interviewed by the media in the numerous countries in which he is active. He has published dozens of academic and professional articles and e-booklets, and written chapters about his research and innovations for academic publications. Those who quote him, often refer to him as a “guru” of strategy, marketing and branding. He is cited on Google hundreds of times.

Dan Herman has also written three books to date, and his books as well as collections of his articles have been translated into a number of languages and published in several countries. All of his books will soon be released in the United States by Paramount Books

 

Chief Organizational Advantagizer: Prof. Zwi Segal Zwi Segal


Prof. Zwi Segal is a worldwide leading authority in the fields of Human Resource Strategies, Strategic Fits, and Organizational Architectures. He is a senior consultant for leading global corporations and Israel's biggest companies. He is often a guest speaker at top universities and conferences worldwide.

Professor Segal has published dozens of articles in English, French and Hebrew in the field of Human Resources, Organizational Fit and Global Management and is a Professor of Organizational Strategies.

Professor Segal has served as a Senior Researcher at the CNRS (the French National Center for Scientific Research), as the Co-Scientific Coordinator in a major EU cross cultural-organizational project, as Head of the international H-axis project (Digital mapping of fitted business and organizational strategies) in collaboration with Prof. Michael Porter from the HBS, and as the Dean of the Business School at the University of Derby Israeli campus – the biggest business school in Israel).

Zwi is the founder and chair of the Israeli forum of HRM and an author of a leading computerized solution dealing with organizational and HR fit.

Since 2001 and until a recent successful exit, Yves Shefner has been CEO of AltimaOne Ltd, a leading software development company focused on public Internet technologies. Prior to that Yves was Director of European Operations for GlobaLoop Technologies, a vendor of ADSL technologies.

Yves has also held the position of VP Marketing and Sales for Vanguard Technologies Ltd, developer of Email security software and Development Manager for Matrox Electronics where he was responsible for the development and marketing of a $75m high-tech park.

His well-known creativity has led to the development of several new technology products to the market, including RegisteredM@il, the first USB authentication token, and PRINT-4 Driverless Print Software.

Laura ShmilovitzLaura Shmilovitz, M.Eng. is a skillful project manager with vast experience.

Before joining Competitive Advantages as co-partner and COO, she managed her own company which developed comprehensive internet marketing solutions for brands and companies.

She also served as senior assistant to the manager of the projects unit in BezeqCall, a subsidiary of Israel's largest communication company.
